Rider Strong Films “Girl Meets World” Appearance, “Arrow” Debuts Its Suicide Squad and You Should Watch “Enlisted”

Following this week’s Teen Wolf shocker, MTV has unveiled a memorial site.

Andrew Rannells tells E! that he’d like to see Elijah bring some guy-on-guy sexuality to Girls. “I volunteered myself for nakedness… I feel like with Looking on the air, I gotta represent some gay sex on the show. I’m willing.” I’d think it would be safe to say that we’ll be willing to watch that.

Six reasons you need to watch Enlisted.

Betsy Brandt is getting back to participating in prestige cable dramas, taking a role in the second season of Masters of Sex, according to The Hollywood Reporter in a recurring role. She’ll play Dr. Masters’ new secretary.

Brandt may not be the only Breaking Bad alum to show up on another cable drama. Aaron Paul and Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter have been publicly tweeting each other about Paul having a role in the final SoA season.

American Horror Story and Copper vet Franka Potente will appear in a multi-episode arc in the second season of The Bridge. Her character is described as a “shunned Mennonite who has a no-nonsense attitude”.

GSN has ordered a third season of The Chase. New episodes will air later this year. Meanwhile, I continue to hope for a U.S. version of another great UK game show, Pointless.

One of the more requested Boy Meets World reunions has finally happened, as Rider Strong has filmed an appearance on Girl Meets World. Here’s a pic from The Hollywood Reporter. The episode will also feature Cory’s parents.

Macy Gray will have a recurring role in Empire, the music drama about a hip-hop label from Lee Daniels and Danny Strong.

The upcoming season of Our America with Lisa Ling will be the final season.

Party of Five alum Michael Goorjian has grabbed a role on the upcoming season of Covert Affairs, as a disillusioned former soldier named Borz Altan. Is it just a coincidence that his name sounds like a defense contractor?

Catherine Keener has joined the FX comedy pilot How and Why, reuniting her with Being John Malkovich writer Charlie Kaufman.

One of the three drama pilots ABC Family ordered this week was Alice in Arabia, about an American teenager kidnapped by the Saudi Arabian extended family she didn’t know. When I heard that, I thought it sounded potentially offensive  and, indeed, the proposed series is already facing criticism. Series creator Brooke Eikmeier took to Twitter trying to assure critics the series won’t be as stereotypical as it sounds. There’s a part of me that thinks the network of Switched at Birth and The Fosters deserves a chance to show it can avoid the stereotypes.

Andrew Rannells is joining Rachael today to make a bacon beer and Worcestershire onion soup. I’ll admit, all of those ingredients sound delicious but that just sounds like one of those cooking segments where Rachael tries to get the audience to applaud every ingredient before she adds it to the pot.

Arrow (CW) 8:00 PM ET
Unexpectedly, this season Arrow has become a DC Universe version of Dark Shadows, taking familiar story characters and mixing them together in unexpected (and, often, delightfully surprising) ways. Tonight, Arrow introduces its version of the Suicide Squad, as Amanda Waller sends Diggle on a mission with recent Arrow foes Deadshot, Bronze Tiger and Shrapnel (Sean Maher) to stop a warlord. Considering the reputation of the Suicide Squad comic, there’s a good chance someone won’t be returning from this mission alive.

Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
First Pretty Little Liars delivered an inappropriate teacher/student relationship. Then, Switched at Birth had Daphne’s relationship with Chef Jeff. Tonight, Melissa & Joey sees Mel and Lennox fight about Lennox’s relationship with teaching assistant Emerson (Brando Eaton), with Lennox moving into Emerson’s apartment. Watch it, ABC Family, you’re about to get a reputation if you keep this up. Do you want inappropriate relationships with minors be your version of Lifetime’s abusive boyfriends?

Baby Daddy (ABC Family) 8:30 PM ET
If Ben and Riley are just friends, he shouldn’t have any problems spending time with her new boyfriend Phillip, right? While Ben is eventually convinced to take the man date seriously, he manages to screw things up in a way that would be perfect if he were trying to sabotage Phillip and his relationship with Riley.

David Brenner: Back with a Vengeance (HBO) 9:00 PM ET
HBO remembers late comedian David Brenner with a re-airing of his 2000 comedy special.

The Americans (FX) 10:00 PM ET
She’s back! Claudia has another assignment for Phillp and Elizabeth but, after losing an entire family of agents, she’s changed — not in the way you’d expect a woman who previously threatened to torture Elizabeth’s children.

Flipping Out (Bravo) 10:00 PM ET
The team goes on a road trip as Jeff lands a client in Arizona. Meanwhile, when Jeff’s away Zoila will boss the other household staff.
