TV on Tap: John Constantine Could Be Headed To "Arrow," Zachary Levi Quizzes "Geeks Who Drink" And "Sleepy Hollow" Casts Betsy Ross

News

Well, this is interesting. TVLine reports that Fox wants to have a crossover between Bones and Sleepy Hollow. That just sounds crazy. One is a techspeak crime procedural, the other is alternative history supernatural drama. Supposedly, producers have an "inventive idea" to have the two very different universes interact. Now I'm a little bummed that Fox is no longer making that Archie comics-inspired Riverdale pilot. Archie comics have had so many crazy crossovers, Fox could have fun duplicating that quality. Instead of Archie Meets The Punisher (a real comic really), Fox could have given us "Gotham comes to Riverdale," Archie in Wayward Pines or The Archies pitching their demo on Empire.

Speaking of Sleepy Hollow, Twilight alum Nikki Reed will be a series regular on the upcoming season. She'll play Betsy Ross who, in proper Sleepy Hollow style is also one of George Washington's spies with "an unsuspecting physical prowess." Now that is the kind of thing that makes us watch Sleepy Hollow.

Matt Ryan in "Constantine"

It turns out Constantine could survive cancellation after all — at least, the character could. In a talk with IGN, Arrow producer Wendy Mericle said they're working on getting John Constantine (presumably still played by Matt Ryan) to appear on the show, "it's just a question of some political things, but also the actor's schedule." The bi-erasure of Constantine was terrible, but John Constantine is an important character in DC Comics' history and a important part of one of the more LGBT-inclusive parts of DC's publishing history. I'm hoping it works out, I have much more faith in Team Arrow than the guy who gave us DaVinci's Demons, especially since the comics recently made sure to reaffirm his bisexuality.

Andy Cohen has now apologized on Twitter for calling Amandla Stenberg the "Jackhole of the Day" after it turned into a #BoycottBravo hashtag.

AMC is sticking with Revolutionary War-era spycraft, ordering a third season of Turn.

Melissa Benoist in "Supergirl"

Gerg Berlanti tells io9 the Richard Donner/Christopher Reeve Superman movies inspired his upcoming Supergirl series, "The Donner films, when I was a kid, set such a standard... We wanted to do something that was more at that level." He also promises it might get dark but won't be "doom and gloom." So it won't be Man of Steel? Whew.

In addition to the new Tabatha Coffey series snicks told you about yesterday, Bravo is making a spin-off of The Shahs of Sunset where out realtor Reza Farahan helps couples buy a home with the help of an interior designer.

Jason from Big Brother 17

Big Brother (CBS) 8:00 PM ET

CBS just might manage to dodge concerns that Jeff might have done something incredibly disgusting and inappropriate to another houseguest since he is nominated to be evicted tonight. Either way the house will be down one creepy dude, but I'd prefer it to be the creepier dude.

The Chase (GSN) 8:00 PM ET

Broadcast TV may be flooded with game shows where the questions barely pose a challenge, good thing GSN's got new episodes of The Chase, where any money won is definitely earned.

Matt Dillon in "Wayward Pines"

Wayward Pines (Fox) 9:00 PM ET

They did it. They blew a hole in the wall and now the Abnormals can get into the shelter of Wayward Pines. The authorities of Wayward Pines tried telling the world about the Abbies, they tried creating a system of rigidly refusing to discuss the world before Wayward Pines. Maybe something a little less over-the-top is the answer? Nah, not these people... and probably not in an episode titled "A Reckoning."

Chain Reaction (GSN) 9:00 PM ET

Yes, game show nerds, GSN is reviving another classic, this time updating the word puzzle game where contestants have to figure out a chain of related words.

Rhys Coiro in "Graceland"

Graceland (USA) 10:00 PM ET

Ari Admian wakes up covered in blood and no memory of the night before and he thinks Briggs might be responsible for his state. Now he has to help Ari figure out the night to defuse his paranoia.

Zachary Levi hosts "Geeks WHo Drink"

Geeks Who Drink (Syfy) 11:00 PM ET

When did Thursday become the night for quiz shows? Now only are there new episodes of The Chase and a new Chain Reaction, Syfy is debuting its take on the popular pub trivia night event, as teams of two are joined by a celebrity as they face questions and challenges about geek topics from Zachary Levi. For the inaugural show, Eric Christian Olsen and Scott Porter are the team captains.

Reactor (Syfy) 11:30 PM ET

The Wil Wheaton Project may have been an incredibly satisfying half-hour of TV each week, but it didn't work out for Syfy. Now, they're turning to comedian David Huntsberger to comment on the past week in sci-fi.

The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS) 12:35 AM ET

Tonight's show is really gay with Ian McKellen and Adam Lambert. Plus, as a bonus, TBL-fave James Wolk discusses Zoo.
