TV on Tap: Garret Dillahunt to “Burn” Again and “Mad Men”‘s Bob Benson Reveal

Turns out, some Mad Men viewers guessed right about Bob Benson’s secret. Too bad they aren’t the ones who picked “Peggy and Pete’s time-traveler love child, Paul Paulson.” (I hope you weren’t spoiled by the revelation that Mad Men wasn’t taking on time travel.)

Garret Dillahunt on Burn NoticeI like to think Dillahunt’s Burn Notice character is still angry
The Book Of Daniel getting cancelled.

I guess Garret Dillahunt was tired of being sweet and lovable but dim on Raising Hope because EW reports are that he’s returning to Burn Notice.

Lifetime’s Lizzie Borden movie just got more interesting now that the cast has added Billy Campbell and Clea Duvall. Campbell will play Lizzie’s lawyer, while Duvall will play her sister.

Want to be in the finale special of The IT Crowd? How is your “looking at shocking things on the internet instead of the world landmark behind you” face? Then you might want to check out the series’ open casting call.

In today’s I-don’t-know-what-to-think-about-this news, Scott Foley has been promoted to series regular on Scandal.

Scott Foley on ScandalWhere do you go on Scandal once you’ve filmed a sex tape for the President with his mistress?

Add one more Cheers alum to the cast of the upcoming TV Land sitcom Kirstie. George Wendt has signed up for a guest role playing the ex to Rhea Perlman’s character.

The cast of Hot in ClevelandBetty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves are on today’s show, along with some of the Daytime Emmy Winners. (I’d like to think this is a chance to make up for the Best Younger Actor winner not getting interviewed but that doesn’t feel likely. Then again, I was expecting more award for Y&R.)

Zachary Quinto’s facing the View table today.

Switched at Birth (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
Yay! Ty’s back! I always thought there was missed potential when his character enlisted, but now Bay has a chance to revisit romance with the boy from the other side of the tracks (all while asserting her future independence by moving in with Regina).

The Goodwin GamesA funny couple finally sharing screen time.

The Goodwin Games (Fox) 8:30 PM ET
As part of Jimmy’s attempts to get a bigger role in his daughter, Piper’s life, he introduces her to her aunt and uncle. That ends up leaving Henry making a business deal with Piper’s stepdad (played by Mister Becky Newton, Chris Diamantopoulos).

The Fosters (ABC Family) 9:00 PM ET
Did everyone’s “possessive dude” alarm go off when we learned that Mike asked to be assigned to work with his ex-wife? Those worries are confirmed tonight when he “helpfully suggests” that Brandon move in with him while Stef’s home is so full of foster brothers and sisters. If he pulls a The Kids Are All Right and tries to reconnect with Stef, I hope Danny Nucci starts selling dartboards with his cast picture. That would make him a rich man.

The FostersAlso, that hot teacher discusses existentialism. I’ll be watching from the swooning couch.

Love, Marilyn (HBO) 9:00 PM ET
HBO’s newest documentary takes a new look at Marilyn Monroe the icon thanks to recently discovered personal writings, which get read by an all-star cast that includes Ellen Burstyn, Glenn Close Viola Davis, Oliver Platt, Marisa Tomei and a lot more (it looks like a rather crowded cast for a documentary).

Major Crimes (TNT) 9:00 PM ET
Emma throws out any hope of likablity when she makes her second threat to take Rusty out of Sharon’s home in two weeks. This time, it’s starts when Rusty gets a threatening letter. Why can’t Rusty get a storyline where Sharon worries that he’s spending too much time petting puppies, for once? (Okay, Rusty would probably end up handling a puppy with a sad faraway look that says that no puppy can cuddle his troubles away, but he should still try.)

Major Crimes

Felt (Logo) 10:00 PM ET
This week’s clients include a pair of party animals who go house hunting. I’m imagining a scene in an open house where animal puppets can’t help but chew up the house as they talk to the realtor, but that might be too crazy for this show.

Teen Wolf (MTV) 10:00 PM ET
The episode description say, “Scott and Derek seek an unlikely ally” and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that means a zombie Kate Argent. After last week’s attempts at adding to the werewolf rulebook, zombies can’t be any less confusing an addition.

Newlyweds: The First Year (Bravo) 10:00 PM ET
It’s the penultimate episode which means that First Year is almost up. Naturally, tension continues to build within the relationships. I’m guessing that’s more money issues for Jeff and Blair.

Warehouse 13 (Syfy) 10:00 PM ET
This week’s guest cast Polly Walker, Kelly Hu and Cynthia Watros. All in one episode. I’m guessing the artifact is some kind of firestorm of faboo, and hoping it’s something that gets people to put on their crazypants.

The Road to Catfish: The Road to Season 2 (MTV) 10:00 PM ET
Preview the new season with this special.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS) 12:35 AM ET
Carson Kressley’s back for another chat with Craig tonight.

What will you be watching tonight? Please share in the comments!

The Voice (NBC) 9:00 PM ET
Cher! Cher! Cher! Cher! Also, go Michelle Chamuel!

Lyle Masaki is a fan of obscure superheroes, video games, adorkable guys and that show you loved that got cancelled way too soon.
