"Narcos" Brings Pedro Pascal Back To TV, "American Horror Story" Considers Two Seasons A Year, Hulu Keeps "Difficult People": TV ON TAP

Fame will continue to elude Billy and Julie.

News

Buffy fave Julie Benz is taking a recurring role on the upcoming season of Hawaii Five-0, playing a San Francisco detective visiting Hawaii in hopes of creating a Five-0-style task force in the Bay Area. I would say that sounds like the set up for a spin-off but, at this point, would CBS spin-off a show left to the Friday night desert?

Sure it may have faced a ridiculous controversy but that's not getting in the way of Hulu ordering a second season of Difficult People.

In today's "Make it stop. Please" news, EW says that growing ratings for American Horror Story might mean it airs two seasons next year, a spring season and one in the fall. That just might be stretching the creative team a little too much.

Last night, IFC was scheduled to air the "Dronez" episode of Documentary Now! but it was pulled at the last minute in response ot the recent shooting of two journalists on the air. However, IFC released the episode a few weeks ago as part of an early preview of the series, so plenty of people probably know how its similar to the Virginia shooting.

TBS has ordered 44 more episodes of American Dad, enough to keep the show airing until 2018.

Betty White's next acting role will be a change of pace from Hot in Cleveland — she's going to work with the Jeffersonian team on an episode of Bones. TVLine says she'll be appearing in an October episode as an accomplished forensic anthropologist who joins the team to solve a case.

To people who are used to USA being home to "blue skies" programs like Psych or Monk, a complicated and cynical show like Mr. Robot is a surprise. However, the network has been headed in that direction for a while. After lighter shows like Common Law and Fairly Legal failed, the network started changing its focus, looking for darker, more serialized shows. The first shows to come out of this new direction were Suits and Graceland, but Mr. Robot was the first one to break through.
