TV on Tap: Fox Sticks With "Sleepy Hollow," What Kimmy Schmidt Would Have Known Of The Internet And Ed Quinn Joins "Mistresses"

News

Community has seen some major cast members quit the show, but Ken Jeong says he plans to be a part of the cast for as long as the series lasts. Now, the story where Chang takes over Greendale by waiting everyone out just seems inevitable.

Fox has ordered a third season of Sleepy Hollow. It will get a new showrunner, let's hope it means the show will recapture its "Everybody run, the Headless Horseman has got a semi-auto" craziness.

A soap character has been outed as transgender on The Bold and the Beautiful. I believe the last time a U.S. soap has included a trans character was All My Children's Zoe, which was quite a while ago.

What was the internet like in 1998? That was the year the protagonist of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was kidnapped and separated from the world for 17 years. It turns out Kimmy is probably looking for an AOL disc whenever she needs a coaster.

TBL-fave Ed Quinn is the latest hunk to get a recurring role on Mistresses, playing a socially abrasive doctor with a sick wife. It certainly gives us another reason to anticipate Mistresses' mix of big drama and hot guys.

NPR's Eric Deggans examines if Empire encourages damaging stereotypes of African-Americans. It's a debate I've been following among Empire fandom. In the end, Deggans concludes the critics are "off-base", especially since the drama has taken every chance to give its characters more depth as it continued.

Gabourey Sidibe says she experienced many spooky events while filming American Horror Story: Coven, from scratching sounds on her trailer, the feeling of an invisible finger and electric problems. Things almost got bad enough to cause a halt in production.

Esai Morales will join the cast of From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series' second season as "a figure of terrifying cruelty and power." Morales also will be appearing in HBO's geopolitical comedy The Brink where we hope there will be no cruelty or terrifying power.

The Muppets are coming back to TV, but don't get too excited. Disney Junior has ordered a series of shorts called Muppet Moments where Muppets and young kids discuss various topics. They're clearly aimed at an audience too young to be nostalgic for anything Muppet-related.

Neil deGrasse Tyson's upcoming talk show Star Talk will debut on April 20. Guests scheduled for the show include Bill Nye, Norman Lear, retired Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield and George Takei.

In ratings news, the debut of iZombie matched The 100's debut last year, which is a promising start. Meanwhile, Undateable's second season grew its audience thanks to a strong lead-in from The Voice.

Are you at all surprised that the combination of Lena Dunham and Scandal would include "sex secrets" being revealed?

This week is Aisha's chapter as she attends a medical conference where she meets an old flame. Considering what we've seen of her husband, I don't think anyone will mind if she ends up getting back with him.

And, apparently, we also get some Richie tonight.
