Twitter Reacts To The 2015 Emmys

It's mostly just Tweets of people freaking the eff out that Queen Viola WON!

Twitter was noticeably less biting during last night's telecast of the 2015 Emmy Awards–probably largely because the show was, dare we say, quite good.

Host Andy Samberg laid on the charm (not to mention the suits!) in what felt like a breezy 3-hour celebration of all things television.

It was an outstanding night for diversity: Transparent creator Jill Soloway took home two awards (one for writing; one for directing) and series star Jeffrey Tambor snagged Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy.

Regina King took home her first Emmy, making her fellow nominees very excited.

Sofia Vergara went HAM on her Emmy snacks.

And perhaps the biggest moment of the night came when Viola Davis took home Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her work on How To Get Away With Murder, and in doing so, became the first African-American woman to win an Emmy for best lead actress.

While Twitter didn't quite pop off quite like the VMAs, folks did have their fair share of opinions.
