If you have to reach for the aspirin this weekend, may we suggest to reach for a bottle of Tylenol? The pain-reliever company has launched a new commercial for Mother’s Day that celebrates non-traditional families—whether that means surrogacy, adoption, two moms or a trans child.
All the women featured in #HowWeFamily campaign are real-life moms—including actress Lucy Liu, who shared that she had her son via a gestational surrogate.
“I think ‘How We Family’ is about how we as a modern family are connecting now,” the Elementary star told People.com.
“Whether it’s your gay parents and you’re doing it that way, or you have a child that’s transgender—it’s more about how you love.”
Now that we think about it, it’s probably our moms that need that bottle of Tylenol—lord knows we give them enough headaches.
