Ahead of his match-up against Peter Sobotta at UFC Hamburg, Nicolas Dalby decided to make a show of support for the LGBTQ community by wearing a rainbow-colored “We Are All Fighters” T-shirt at the official weigh-in before the bout.
Dalby posted photos from the weigh-in on his Instagram Sunday along with the caption: “Weigh-ins for #UFCHamburg done! 170 and ready to smash Sobotta! But it was more important for me to show my support for the #LGBTQ community.”
Once Dalby posted the photos, many LGBT MMA fans took to Twitter to praise the fighter.

The UFC began selling the “We Are All Fighters” Pride shirts in July with all profits going directly to the LGBTQ center in Las Vegas.
At the time of the announcement, UFC Senior Executive Vice President Ike Lawrence Epstein said: “Just as it takes courage to step into the Octagon, it takes courage to stand for what you believe in—and we’re proud to stand with members of the LGBTQ community in their fight for equality. As friends and allies of the LGBTQ community, our hope is to raise awareness and help support community groups like the LGBTQ Center that directly impact LGBTQ individuals.”
Coincidentally, the shirts debuted in the same month that Amanda Nunes became the first openly gay UFC champion.
