Miranda Kerr had the honor of wearing the $2.5 million Secret Fantasy Treasure Bra (designed by London Jewelers) at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show today. Before the show, the VS Angel took a break from having her hair and makeup done to pose for hundreds of backstage photographers alongside the diamond and pearl encrusted bra.
Not to be overshadowed on the other side of the room however was Adriana Lima. While the press was surrounding Miranda, Adriana jumped up on her makeup table and ripped off her hot pink robe to reveal just a skimpy black lace bra and panty set. She blew kisses, danced on the table and posed for famed photographer Russell James, and within seconds the crowd of photographers ran to Adriana’s side with hopes of catching an up close shot of her wearing nothing but lace.
Alessandra Ambrosia took an understated approach to the spotlight on the other hand, telling reporters: “This is my tenth anniversary in the show—so I’m wearing the heaviest wings—40 pounds and made of gold. They gave me the hardest job on the runway.”
These three know how to ham it up for the camera and are clearly setting an example for some first time walkers like Karlie Kloss, Sui He and Bregje Heinen who watched the veteran angels work it for the crowd.
But who better than to really act like a diva than the lead hair-stylist, Orlando Pita, who led the team of stylists in their quest for sexy waves. When asked how a woman could recreate this hairstyle at home, he replied: “Why would I want to tell someone how to do this at home. That makes my job obsolete. You can’t do this yourself someone has to do it for you. To get this look you need to come to my salon.”
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. on CBS. Tune in to see which angel you think deserves all the attention—and see if you can decode the mystery and science behind those impossibly wavy locks.
