It’s Big Freedia‘s world, y’all. We all just bounce in it!

And several weeks back, we caught up with the New-Orleans-based queen diva of bounce music when she cranked out a thumpingly legendary show up in Montreal. At a party thrown by Lesbians on Ecstasy on Pride weekend at Club Soda, Big Freedia turned the joint out with her bombastic beats, her cadre of rump-rippling dancers and her thunderous talent and ‘tude. Backstage post-show, we played catch-up in her dressing room, as her backup girls smoked and kiki’d.

AND… BF revealed that she’s busy making a reality show. What what? Yes, children. A Big Freedia show is being pitched as we speak. And it will be “centered around Freedia, but about bounce music and the culture of New Orleans.” YES! Watch out “Fantasia For Real.” Scoot over Salt-N-Pep! When Ms. Freedia gets real, it’s bound to be major. And New Orleans is due for more TV love. Please let this happen. (And can it please be called “Azz Everywhere”??)
