Watch! James Adomian Stars in IFC’s Hilarious “Maron in Space”

The out comic plays a space-age version of podcast guru Marc Maron on IFC’s new web series.

This Friday IFC will launch a new show called Maron, starring podcast hero Marc Maron as himself in a 10-episode arc, and in conjunction the network is treating us to a zany web serial called Maron In Space, in which out comic (and TheBackLot’s friend) James Adomian plays a spastic version of Maron who helms a spaceship full of cats. All five of the episodes are online, and here are some highlights of the whole adventure.

-That’s Drew Droege (of “Good evening, America, I’m Chloe Sevigny” fame) as the golden-y bug creature in the first clip.

-The sheer vulgarity of it all. The f-word just soars out of Adomian’s mouth like a condor.

-That space queen in the third episode is giving you all the Lana Del Rey vibes you want.

-The real Maron’s appearance in the final clip is both eerie and hilarious. Look at real and fake Marc mime each other’s movements. It’s like Harpo and Lucy for the new generation.

Did I mention this is hilarious? It is.
