Vine Star Nash Grier Apologizes For Calling AIDS A "Fag" Issue

Nash Grier, the most followed person on Vine, has apologized for claiming HIV/AIDS is a "fag" problem. A clip from April recently resurfaced in which the 16-year-old social-media sensation, who has 8.7 million followers, ran a few seconds of an HIV public-service-announcement in which a man tells the camera “It’s not just a gay thing.”

The camera then cut to Grier, who shouts “Yes is is! FAG!!”

Grier took down the original Vine, but vlogger Tyler Oakley re-posted it and called Grier out, tweeting  "Call me and people like me, 'fag' all you want, but spreading false information about deadly diseases is next level."

Grier has tweeted an apology, saying he was "young, ignorant, stupid and in a bad place" and that he "has nothing against anyone or anything that promotes equality."

Given the video is just three months old, we're not sure Grier isn't still young, ignorant and stupid.

It's not the first time Grier has attacked the LGBT community: He reportedly has used "gay" and "fag" as insults in his clips and has tweeted comments opposing gay rights and marriage equality.
