It's a big year for the VMAs: Britney Spears is giving her first VMAs performance in nearly a decade, Rihanna is receiving the Video Vanguard award, and Beyoncé and Adele are nominated for so much we hope they brought wagons to carry their haul. (and Lord only knows what Kayne West will get up to.)

But what we want to know is what was everyone wearing on the red carpet?

The queens of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars posed outside the show at Madison Square Garden—paying homage to divas past.

We see Britney, Madonna and Gaga. Can you name all their VMA inspirations?

Troye Sivan, was in attendance, too. He's nominated in the Breakthrough Long-Form Video category for "Blue Neighbourhood Trilogy."

Finding Prince Charming host Lance Bass reminded us that "Love Trumps Hate."

And, of course, we have Lady Bey, who's basically nominated for everything. #AllTheAwards
