Vodafone Germany wove a touching message of trans-inclusion into its latest commercial about data sharing.
The advert tells the story of a gender-nonconforming teenager who, amidst shouting matches with their judgmental family, finds solace in watching online make-up tutorials.
Unfortunately, their father limits their data, preventing them from accessing the one thing that makes them truly happy.
After a particularly bad fight, they run away from home, leaving their parents to decide whether or not they’ll accept them for who they are.
Thankfully, they do, and demonstrate their support by increasing their data plan and even going to see them walk in their first runway show.
