Walk the Moon’s Song Is Ridiculously Fun

Walk The Moon is having FUN, y'all.

A few months ago, I was trolling the web for new music, and I heard “Anna Sun” by the alt-rock band Walk the Moon. I liked it, but for whatever reason, it didn’t make a huge impression. In the last week, though, the song has come roaring back into my life. The band’s full-length, self-titled album dropped on Tuesday, and I noticed it was selling well on iTunes. People were tweeting me to say I should write about their music. And finally, they appeared on VH-1.

And I’m no fool: If a band is suddenly everywhere, then there’s probably a reason. So I gave another listen to “Anna Sun” and… whoa! This song rocks! Maybe I wasn’t paying attention before, but now I’m fully on board.

If you haven’t heard “Anna Sun,” then take a listen. It’s a soaring, Snow Patrol-esque anthem that starts off peppy, gets slow and majestic in the middle, and then explodes back to life. And there’s no use fighting the chorus. Just start bouncing and singing along, even if you’re in church.

(As a bonus, this music video is an explosion of pure joy. These people look like they are having so much fun and I want an invitation.)
