Watch Dolly Parton Surprise Young Actress With News She Was Cast As Young Dolly In Upcoming "Coat Of Many Colors"

NBC has cast 7-year-old Alyvia Lind in the role of young Dolly Parton for their upcoming TV movie Coat of Many Colorsand the country icon recently surprised the young actress with the good news in an adorable new YouTube video.

According to the Hollywood Reporter:

"Coat of Many Colors is based on Parton’s upbringing. The movie takes viewers inside the tight-knit Parton family as they struggle to overcome devastating tragedy and discover the healing power of love, faith and a raggedy patchwork coat that helped make the singer-actress who she is today. The telepic is not a biopic or musical and isn't about her life and performing career. Instead, it's a family-oriented faith-based story about the incidents in her and her family's life around the time she was 9 years old."

Lind thought she was attending a callback in front of industry executives when Parton walked in and surprised her with the news that she already won the role.

The young actress was most recently seen in the Will Ferrell Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption. Watch the sweet surprise video below.
