So I have a new musical obsession and their name is Foxy Shazam. I was lucky enough to see them in Montreal a few weeks back and I’ve been a full-on Foxy convert ever since. Check out the video for “Oh Lord” from their recently released self-titled album (also airing in this Sunday’s episode of NewNowNext Music!) and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
With vocals that would make Freddie Mercury jealous (yes, his voice is actually that high pitched in person), an insane live show featuring partial nudity, acrobatics and frontman Eric Nally chomping on THREE lit cigarettes, and a kick ass new album – not to mention one of the best band names I’ve heard in years – Foxy Shazam is definitely one to watch.
