Shakira lays it down for los ninos last week at her Madison Square Garden show. Get in to her “Loca” single! Shakira‘s got a new album, Sale El Sol, coming on October 19th. And the video for the first single “Loca” is debuting on MTV.com, VH1.com and LogoTV.com tomorrow (or view it around midnight tonight!). But for now, here’s a sneak peek!
Turns out Shaki-ki ditched the big budget movie sets or spectacle she’s used for other vids; for “Loca” she just grabbed a camcorder and hit the streets of Barcelona, strapping on roller skates, climbing on motorcycles (without a helmet!), yanking on some tights and prancing around like a mad-ass street diva. She even jumps in a public fountain. Hey bartender — I’ll have what she’s having!!!
And yes, I tend to think of the RuPaul’s Drag Race diva Nina Flowers when I hear the term “Loca” — but Shakira’s welcome to borrow the term for the time being. And you just know that drag queens are already kicking this number onstage from Bogota to Boston…
