Fashion Literally Takes On A Life Of Its Own In This Dreamy Dance Video

Nowness, an online video channel highlighting contemporary culture, posted Mine, a mesmerizing dance performance video, on Facebook this weekend—and the clip has already garnered more than a million views.

In the two-minute segment, directed by Tell No One and choreographed by Paolo Mangiola, underwear-clad dancers from London’s Sadler’s Wells Theater race around a school gymnasium, "stealing" garments from each others' bodies as they touch.

“I thought they should be dressed in clothing capable of expressing emotion,” explains stylist Agata Belcen of the choice to user designer duds from Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, La Perla, Maison Martin Margiela and Bottega Veneta. “The film doesn't straightforwardly distinguish between male and female roles, and so it was important in the styling that the clothing could also be understood in masculine and feminine terms.”

Nowness reports that Tell No One enlisted Mangiola "to translate the frenzied desire of online gratification into an impassioned routine."
