Wear Your Pride: 6 Really Gay T-Shirts

With yesterday's victories at the Supreme Court, you might be tempted to wear your Pride on your sleeve. Well, we've got some great options for doing just that. Check out LGBT tees from retailers and some of the community's biggest advocacy groups,. Just make sure you get the right size.


American Apparel

The L.A. clothier has issued gay Pride shirts before, but this year it's included slogans for the bisexual and transgender communities. "LGBT Pride is something we care deeply about, and American Apparel is committed to this issue for the long haul. We hope everyone comes out and joins us at march near them," says Dov Charney, founder and CEO of American Apparel, who is donating 15% of proceeds to GLAAD.


Nike #BeTrue shirts

Earlier this month, Nike launched its second line of #BeTrue sneakers and clothing. The shirts are pretty cool—and might actually get us to wear athletic gear.


Alex+Chloe "List" shirt

Though launched before the SCOTUS decisions, these limited-edition tees (a collaboration between HRC and designers Alex+Chloe) work just as well in their wake—celebrating life, love, justice, marriage and equality.  It's the fifth collab between “This list represents to us our shared vision of a brighter future,” said L.A. based clothiers of the shirts, a welcome addition to their in-demand "List" shirts. ($35)


HRC's Ke$sha shirt

Also from the Human Rights Campaign, this limited-edition tee proclaims the trash-pop star's mantra and connects it to the LGBT community with an equality symbol. ($35)


Nasty Pig's Shred of Hope shirts

The kinky NYC clothier teamed up with the LGBT homeless-youth organization Ali Forney Center on a series of tees uniquely customized by the likes of Jake Shears, Adam Lambert and Michael Stipe. Since they're one-of-a-kind you won't have to worry about someone else wearing the same shirt to the party. ($200 and up)


Revel & Riot

This queer clothing company most famously partnered with fun. on the band's "It's All Fun. & Gay 'Til Someone Loses Their Rights" shirt. But they've got a whole series of pro-LGBT tees. One of our favorites features a rainbow version of the gay triangle, re-imagined as a mountain, "to remind us of our long and continuing struggle for LGBTQ rights." ($35)
