Yesterday was a big day for New York gay and lesbians; their love can now be officially recorded since same-sex marriage is recognized in New York state. Mayor Michael Bloomberg joined in the festivities, officiating the John Feinblatt and Jonathan Mintz wedding on Sunday.
The wedding was lighted by award-winning, celebrity lighting designer and same-sex marriage supporter, Bentley Meeker.

Bloomberg has only presided over two weddings – his lovely daughter Emma and former New York City mayor and Republican presidential candidate hopeful, Rudy Giuliani. Bentley lighted both to perfection. You can feel Bentley’s excitement to light the elegant Gracie Mansion for this Sunday’s wedding.
Bentley has enhanced many same-sex nuptials and believes that every wedding, gay or straight, should be treated exactly the same. If you’re waiting to get married but love to support someone that supports the LGBT community, you can have him light your office or house! Who doesn’t love amazing lighting?
