West Hollywood Sponsors Go-Go Boy Appreciation Day. God Bless!

 FRONTIERS-0902__900W go-go boys appreciation day

West Hollywood knows the score: The gay mecca is celebrating rumpshakers and booty boys at the third annual Go-Go Dancer Appreciation Day Festival and Competition on November 9. Held on Santa Monica Boulevard at Larrabee Street, the unusual happening is co-sponsored by Frontier magazine, the Tom of Finland Foundation, Visit West Hollywood, MOCA at the Pacific Design Center and the bars and clubs of Boystown.

Seven finalists—including friend of NewNowNext Colby Melvin—will perform live at the fest and vie for the title of  best go-go stud in L.A., an honor that comes with a $1,000 cash prize, a Palm Springs weekend getaway and a Frontiers magazine cover shoot. Other honors being given out are "West Hollywood Boystown Ambassador" and an "Embodiment Award: Fit & Firm" for the dancer with the best physique.

The judges panel includes last year's winner, Vladimir Shmygol, Bear City's Gerald McCullouch and Advocate editor Matthew Breen. But you can help decide who makes it to the event by voting online from among the 16 semi-finalist.
