What Do People Steal From Hotel Rooms, Anyway?

It's probably just the idea of free stuff (even though it's not really free) that makes us do it. Hotels.com has released a study on hotel-guest honesty and what people have stolen from their rooms, ranging from small trifles to big items. (Magazines and newspapers were the most commonly pilfered items.)

Denmark appears to be the most trustworthy nation on the list, with 88% of respondents claiming they've never taken a thing. The U.S. is ranked at number 23, tying with China—but while Americans just take towels and robes, the Chinese are using hotel rooms as their personal Ikeas—snagging lamps, clocks and furniture before they leave.
