You guys! It’s Labor Day! And did you know that Labor Day is a holiday? No, seriously!
I know it is because I listen to this helpful song by the Black Eyed Peas called “Labor Day (It’s a Holiday).”
I have always loved this song because it breaks down the basics. At one point, Fergie even says, “It’s a holiday. I don’t work today. Or the next three days.” THANK YOU! I was about to log old emails at the office. Once again, the Peas save the day.
Admittedly, if it weren’t for stanky hot beat, I might resent this vacation lesson. But my booty can’t stop popping when this song comes on. It’s like the funkiest Schoolhouse Rock of all time.
I know the Peas are on hiatus right now, but I really hope their next album features smoking jam like “Flag Day (Celebrates the Flag)”, “Christmas (‘Cuz Christ Just Died)” and “Thanksgiving (Loosen That Belt).”
