Charter school suspends all clubs after parents complain about LGBT group. This again?

“Visual arts teacher Layne Long said she allowed a female student to hold the club's meetings in her classroom and gave the student a poster from the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network to display. And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay and bisexual celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to ... Todd Graff

Todd had one of his greatest acting successes on Broadway, earning a Tony nomination (and displaying a wonderful voice) in 1984 for his performance in Baby.

Before we get to today's entry on the countdown, I'd like to give a very special shoutout to reader Lion King. Over the last five months he's entertained and informed us with his own Briefs list, and i'm saddened that it will end today.

But I'd like to encourage him, and all of you, to keep contributing to the Briefs, whether it's with your own particular entertainment lists, or in any way that will keep our little community alive. Whether you're from the AE days, TBL days, or just joining us, I'd like the Briefs to be a place of stability amidst change.

Three years ago I presented my personal favorite Briefs list, The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's, and because if there's one thing Hollywood has taught us, it's that sequels and reboots and remakes are ALWAYS better then the original, we're going to the well again with The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's Part 2: The Even More Forgotten

We'll be spotlighting 100 more of the greatest minor hits of the decade, the songs you don’t hear on any 80’s nostalgia show. Songs that missed the top ten, or top twenty … or top forty. Hopefully these forgotten gems may ring a long dormant bell, or for younger readers, provide a pop music history lesson.

At #65 is "You Don't Know" by Scarlett & Black

Robin Hild and Sue West were backing vocalists for Doctor & The Medics when they decided to team up and venture out on their own. Their only chart hit was a bubbly little gem that reached #20 in April 1988.

Congrats to Nobody! No one guessed that yesterday's Pixuzzle™ © ® was Desperately Seeking Susan. Although I did enjoy "Hello Dolly" and "The Sound Of Music."

Here's today's Pixuzzle™ © ®. Here is a scene from a FAMOUS MOVIE. Can you name it?

And today's Briefs are brought to you by ... Jonathan Tantype
