This is a special edition of While You Were Working, because if you're reading this, and you're like us, you probably weren't able to get a whole lot done because of the excitement of our President Barack Obama finally saying out loud what every smart person who's taken the time to think about it for thirty seconds believes: that same sex marriage should be legal. But other stuff happened, too! So here's that stuff!

  • The Desperate Housewives ladies all got together to give the cast and crew of the show a series-end gift - and deliberately left Teri Hatcher out of it. Honestly, we'd think they were being immature 7th-grade Heathers to Teri if the classy Felicity Huffman weren't involved.

  • Vidal Sassoon died, at age 84.

  • Lady Gaga is going to be on The Simpsons a week from Sunday, and there's now a promo for it.

  • Is Working Girl the Best Movie Ever? An argument. It's certainly a very good movie!

  • Vulture's Jessica Grose probed the memoirs of Sissy Spacek, Steve Guttenberg, and Garry Marshall for dirt. There is no kind of book better than the celebrity memoir.

  • A pic of Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams almost kissing in Brian De Palma's upcoming movie Passion.

  • We interviewed the charming Meghann Early, who makes and sells beautiful jewelry inspired by Game of Thrones. (That we want!)
