Will they stay or will they go?
The third season of Glee is almost over and, as many fans know, there is a pretty good chance a lot of the show’s characters will not be returning. Rumors started flying late last year when creator Ryan Murphy said some characters would depart after their senior year, with fans quick to lament the fact that they would be losing the show’s two biggest stars, Lea Michele and Chris Colfer. Producer Brad Falchuk later said the two would likely stay on through season four, but let’s take a look at who we may be saying goodbye to very shortly.

Artie (Kevin McHale)
Artie is only a junior so he is good as gold it seems. Unless of course he and Quinn are going to fall in love and leave school to join a Murderball team, expect much more of Artie next year.

Blaine (Darren Criss)
Blaine is also a junior and we can tell you this, Criss will never, ever be asked to leave the show or written off. He has become Glee for many if not most fans.

Rachel (Lea Michele)
Rachel is a senior but, as we previously mentioned, Falchuk said she would likely not be leaving. Since Michele is such a key player and such a strong singer expect her to wind up at a musical college a short drive away, or maybe as coach of a rival glee club.

Mike (Harry Shum Jr.)
Mr. Chang is also a senior and a very, very tough call. We know he is incredibly smart so it seems likely he will be heading off to an Ivy league school. That being said, Shum is such a strong, strong dancer the show may decide to keep him on.

Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz)
One of the very first glee club members and a junior, Tina almost definitely won’t be going anywhere and, if boyfriend Mike Chang is gone, she and Artie may rekindle their relationship.

Quinn (Dianna Agron)
We weren’t even sure she would be back following her car accident, so we are almost positive Quinn will be (hopefully) walking off into the sunset at the end of season three.

Finn (Cory Monteith)
Another senior who could go either way. He may end his engagement to Rachel and head off to LA with Puck or just on his own. Or he may stay in town and continue to work with his dad. Our money is on Finn staying in a very, very limited role.

Kurt (Chris Colfer)
Kurt turns down his college dreams to be with boyfriend Blaine. The show does not want to lost Colfer now though, with his booming film career, he may possibly ask to have his role toned down.

Mercedes (Amber Riley)
Mercedes is another original glee club member and Riley an incredibly strong singer making it seem like she would definitely be staying for season four. But her desire to be a lead singer and star may find Mercedes leaving and heading to NYC or Hollywood. She is a senior after all.

Santana (Naya Rivera)
We really don’t even want to talk about this but we think Santana, one of our two favorite characters, will be leaving the show.

Brittany (Heather Morris)
See above. Although, Brittany’s stupidity could keep her in high school forever. And we would not mind that at all.

Puck (Mark Salling)
Puck seems like the kind of guy who will be dating a teenager or hanging around the high school for a few years after graduating so we completely expect him to return.
What are your thoughts folks?
