Recently, I've been asking heavy questions on NewNowNext: Why do we fear intelligence in our entertainers? What makes good romantic comedies work? Why is Shirley Bassey so awesome when she covers Pink?

And all that critical thinking is exhausting, y'all! Now I just want to wear my big hoop earrings and dance like a fool. I want to shake my bootycandy until I collapse on the floor.  I want to think tomorrow, but party tonight. And that's why I'm listening listen to "Reload," the latest hit by the British rapper Wiley.

Wiley is one of the best mcs in the grime movement, which drops fierce, fast rhythms with dark undertones. The music is a little spooky, but it's so damn fast that it makes you want to jump up and down until you pass out. In the last few years, grime rappers have embraced a slightly poppier, more melodic style, which is why Ms. D sings the sweet hook on "Reload." (The rapper Chip, formerly Chipmunk, also has a guest verse.) For me, adding the hooky chorus makes this mess even more amazing. I love being commanded to dance by an authoritative beat, but if there's a chorus for me to sing along to, then I have a lot more fun.

So let's go shake it, yeah? We can think about stuff later.
