Andrew Rannells And Jane Lynch Join The "Will & Grace" Revival
The Will & Grace revival is almost here, and with production currently happening in L.A., more tidbits from the set are spilling out—including the new season's batch of guest stars.
In addition to Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally returning to reprise their roles, the cast of the classic sitcom has been teasing the return of guest actors from the original run like Minnie Driver and Harry Connick Jr.
Last week, Messing posted an on-set Instagram with Bobby Cannavale, announcing the return of Will's (Eric McCormack) ex-boyfriend, and now The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells will guest star on the revival.
"Details on their characters are being kept under tight wraps except that they will appear in the same episode, which begins production this week," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Maybe Jack and Karen will go on a double date with Rannells' and Lynch's characters?
Rannells was last seen in HBO's Girls, which wrapped its final season earlier this year, and next he can be heard as a voice on Netflix's new animated series, Big Mouth.
Lynch recently played Janet Reno in the Manhunter: Unabomber limited series and is currently doing voice work for Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.
As if we needed another reason to be excited for the return of Will & Grace.
The new 16-episode season of Will & Grace will reunite the original cast along with creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, who will serve as showrunners. James Burrows, who helmed every episode of the original run, will return to direct. The revival has already been renewed for another season set to premiere next year.
