Here's Your First Look At A Scene From The "Will & Grace" Revival
In the first trailer for the Will & Grace revival you saw series stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally sing a musical number about returning to their roles from the classic sitcom.
Now get ready to read some dialogue from the characters in a sneak peek from the new season.
Series co-creator Max Mutchnick has been tweeting out updates from the writer's room as production continues on the 12-episode revival.
In a new tweet Mutchnick posted a pic of a page from one of the season's scripts. Judging from the page the episode is titled "The Wedding" and it's the tenth episode of the new season.
If you can't make out what's on the page here's what the script says:
JACK: I see where this going. You ask me to be your date, you drink too much, I'm disgusted, you feel uncomfortable and end up giving me money at the end of the night. I guess what I'm saying is, I need to borrow a grand. We can talk about it later when you're plastered.
WILL: Jack, you read my mind. I guess I'll go with Plan B. No date.
KAREN ENTERS WITH A MONKEY.
Judging from the dialogue it seems that Will is in need of a wedding date—but decides to go stag instead of dealing with Jack for the night—can you blame him?
And what's this about Karen and a monkey?
Sadly, there's no Grace in this scene, but we're sure that Karen and her monkey will be giving her plenty of trouble throughout the rest of the episode.
The new season will reunite the original cast along with creators Mutchnick and David Kohan, who will serve as showrunners. James Burrows, who helmed every episode of the original run, will return to direct. NBC had originally ordered a 10-episode ninth season but added two additional episodes—for an hourlong Christmas episode.
For more Will & Grace tune into this year's Logo Trailblazer Honors where Mutchnick and Kohan will be honored by the series cast for creating a show that brought a new level of visibility to the LGBT community.
Logo Trailblazer Honors airs Friday, June 23 at 9/8c.
