Karen Has a New Love Interest on “Will & Grace”—and She's Played by Samira Wiley

"Honey, what's going on? What's happening?"

After years of hitting on Grace, fantasizing about being married to her maid, and getting called out by Madonna for having a "weird bisexual vibe," Karen's bisexuality has been a running joke on Will & Grace for years.

But in the sitcom's latest episode, "Conscious Coupling," Karen finally meets her match when she becomes snowed in at Grace's design studio, where she spends some alone time with the upstairs neighbor, Nikki (played by out actress Samira Wiley). The two end up sparking up a conversation, during which Karen asks Nikki if she "is permanently parked in the lesbian zone"—or if she just moves her car to "alternate sides of the street from time-to-time for plowing?"

"This car is parked, up on blocks, with a hundred tickets on the windshield," Nikki assures her.

Karen mixes up some martinis for them, and when the snow eventually stops, the two share a tender moment—that ends with Nikki leaning down and kissing Karen. "Seeing Karen Walker’s bisexuality go from running one-liner gag to resonant storyline is a TV event 20 years in the making," says Autostraddle's Heather Hogan, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, Wiley will be back for the remaining two episodes of the season.

Judging from the photos from this week's episode, Karen really takes to her new relationship with Nikki:

With Karen now dating Nikki and Jack about to marry Estefan (Brian Jordan Alvarez), it seems like the characters of Will & Grace are still growing and maturing two decades later.
