If you watched The Soup last Wednesday, you’ll remember that Joel McHale ended his show with a surprise announcement that he said we’d be talking about all summer: The Soup is throwing Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux a wedding, complete with celebrity helpers like RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s Shangela (who will be in charge of the dress.) Joel made a big deal about this happening on August 29th (“unless we get a cease-and-desist letter.”) Video, above.
CUT TO two days later, on Friday, when Justin proposed to Jen, and she accepted. Coincidence? Well, yeah, duh. Even in Hollywood, and even in Kim Kardashian’s Hollywood, surely Jen and Justin take the institution of marriage more seriously as to undertake it on the TV show that never misses the chance to show a clip of men celebrating their non-paternity on Maury. But expect to see The Soup make a huge giant deal out of the timing next week!
Also, honestly? We think it would be kind of extremely cool of them if they did it, even as a joke. (NOBODY would expect it!) And you have to imagine Joel McHale has sent over some congratulatory flowers…
