Will You Watch Sean Hayes' New Sitcom About A Divorced Gay Dad?

Sean Saves the World - Season PilotWe might be saying goodbye to The New Normal, but Sean Hayes will be back on NBC this fall in a sitcom that sees him playing a divorced gay dad to a spunky teenage daughter.

Sounding like Who's the Boss meets Love, Sidney, Sean Saves the World features Hayes alongside newcomer Sami Isler as his 14-year-old kid and Alice's Linda Lavin as his overbearing yenta of a mom. Reno 911's Thomas Lennon has also been cast, but hopefully not as a Jack McFarland-like swishy sidekick.

Hayes has kept one foot in television, popping up in episodes of Smash, Parks and Recreation and Up All Night. But will the show be a hit? The premise sounds thin, but with Will & Grace director James Burrows as executive producer, Sean Saves the World could save the network.
