A Nebraska woman has been found dead three weeks after disappearing following a Tinder date with another woman.
The family of Sydney Loofe last heard from the 24-year-old on November 15, when she went on her second Tinder date with Bailey Boswell, 23.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we share this most recent update with you all,” the Loofe family wrote on Facebook. “Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family… We love you, Sydney.”
Authorities say Boswell admitted to being with Loofe in the hours leading up to her disappearance. She and her roommate, 51-year-old Aubrey Trail, are being considered “persons of interest” in Loofe’s death. “We do believe that there is evidence of foul play,” said Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister, though charges have not been filed.
Trail and Boswell, currently facing unrelated drug charges, posted video claiming they were being “crucified” by the media.
“I’ve never killed anyone in my life and I’ve never hurt a female in my life,” Trail says in one. “So take that for whatever the hell that’s worth.”
Loofe’s body was discovered Monday afternoon in a rural area about 90 miles southwest of her home in Lincoln. “An investigation like this takes resources and time,” said Special Agent Randy Thysse of the FBI. “We ask for your patience.”
