WWD Critiques Jay Z's Face At The Met Gala: "A Bit Of Filler Would Do Wonders"

Critiquing red carpet looks has been around as long as the carpets themselves, but sometimes–especially so in the wake of Joan River's passing–the criticism seethes beyond the garment itself seeping into personal ridicule.

Such was the case in a story run yesterday by trade journal Women's Wear Daily titled, "Men of the 2015 Met Gala."

The piece was intended to be a lighthearted grading of the–you guessed it–men of the Met Gala. Unfortunately, when it came to analyze Jay Z's look, the staff looked instead at his physical appearance.

"The smile lines are becoming too deep," they said, giving his overall look a C rating. "A bit of filler would do wonders. Maybe he can reach out to his wife’s dermatologist."

Not satisfied with just three offensive digs, they then turned to his weight: "The double-breasted peak-lapel blazer is an elegant choice, however, he seems to have gained some weight—it’s pulling in all the wrong places."

Revving their "give no fucks" level to a 10, they added that his "carnation should have been red to tie in with the China theme. It’s not the prom and he’s not the best man at a wedding."

Jay Z's net worth, it should be noted, is estimated at over a billion.
