Girls Can Be Batman, Boys Can Be Wonder Woman In Heartwarming Halloween PSA

Trick or tearjerker?

A new Halloween PSA reminds children—and their parents—that they can be whatever the hell they want to be.

In "My Heroes," parents encourage a young boy and girl to express themselves, regardless of gender, when choosing superhero costumes for a night of neighborhood trick or treating.

"Their costumes are going to look awesome," the mom quietly assures her husband, who clearly seems worried after she gives their kids store-bought Wonder Woman and Batman outfits.

Later, when it's time for bed, it's revealed that the little boy went as Wonder Woman and the little girl dressed as Batman. "My heroes," the dad whispers proudly from their bedroom doorway. Super!

Written by Alexander Day and Brian Carufe, the digital short was produced by Landwirth Legacy Productions "to challenge gender stereotypes when it comes to children's Halloween costumes," according to the YouTube description.
