This Amazing Word Art Is A Loving Memorial To A Gay Couple's Tragic Fate

"I will always love you."

An artist has helped a man mourning the loss of his partner to turn his pain into a beautiful piece of art.

Michael Volpicelli uses words that describe his subjects in order to create intricate drawings of them, and he used the method to sketch couple Matthew Ogston and Nazim Mahmood after the latter took his own life.

According to Bored Panda, Mahmood committed suicide when his family refused to accept his sexuality or his relationship because of their Islamic religious beliefs.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, Ogston, who has now dedicated his life to making sure religion never "comes in the way of the unconditional love between parents and their children," provided the artist with words that describe his former partner for the drawing.

Volpicelli turned the words into a beautiful memorial of the couple, highlighting the way Mahmood "always made others happy" and that he "deserved to be loved."
