As part of World AIDS Day events everywhere, Light for Rights will hold vigils "all over the world and will bring thousands of people together on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2010, to honor those we have lost to AIDS and to highlight the fundamental rights we all share."

In NYC, Kenneth Cole, Liza Minnelli, Stockard Channing and others will mark New York's World AIDS Day event in Washington Square Park by turning off the lights on the fabled Washington Square Park Arch from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.
