Queer R&B Singer Xavier’s Been Sucking On That “Cinnamon Stick”

The artist is featured on Sxip Shirey's hot new track.

When electro-acoustic composer Sxip Shirey came up with the beat for his latest single, “Cinnamon Stick,” he had only one artist in mind to sing the lyrics — Xavier.

“I loved the groove,” Shirey told Glide Magazine. “’This needs some words,’ I thought and looked up at the bland wall and started thinking about Xavier. I often write for the singers I’m working with.”

And so, with Xavier as his muse, the electro-pop anthem was born, featuring the soulful artist seductively singing, “You don’t know the trouble I’m in. I’ve been sucking on that cinnamon.”

The video for the track is as provocative as the song itself, featuring two women sultrily sharing a lollipop while two men get kinky in costumes.
