Judi Dench Will Appear On The New Years & Years Album

"Welcome to Palo Santo."

British electro-pop trio Years & Years have unveiled a trailer for their sophomore record, and its narrated by none other than Dame Judi Dench.

Palo Santo, the group's forthcoming studio album, drops July 6, almost exactly three years after Communion, the 2015 debut that put the band on the pop-music map. The release will be accompanied by a film about a dystopian society also called "Palo Santo" (Spanish for "holy wood").

Nnarrated ominously by Dench, the "Palo Santo" trailer sees openly gay frontman Olly Alexander navigate the terrain of the strange new world, an android universe à la Janelle Monáe's Dirty Computer.

Palo Santo the record will feature 14 tracks, including collaborations with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter. It will also include tracks fans may have heard before, like "Hypnotized," used in an H&M campaign and "Sanctify," which hit the UK Top 25 last month. Alexander says the song is about making peace with his sexuality. "I feel like being gay is a blessing," he told Nylon. "[And] I wanted that to come through in the song."

"I'm so thankful that this is happening," he declared in an Instagram post about the album. "There's a witchy gay full moon in my heart, and it's shining, shining, shining."
