Ascension, the annual music and dance party weekend that has taken place each August since 2006, moves to Asbury Park for the first time. As in the past, thousands of men are expected to gather for the 11-party, 14-DJ festival on August 4-6.

The roster of events kicks off with a VIP cocktail party on Friday night, followed by the Ascension Underwear Party. Festivities continue the next day with the weekend's main event, the Ascension Beach Party from 1pm to 8pm, followed by the Saturday Night Celebration starring superstar DJ Paulo. If you haven't quite had enough, there's the Ascension Pool Party on Sunday afternoon topped off by the Closing Party at 10:30pm.

The festival originally launched in Fire Island Pines, where it remained until 2014 before moving to Mykonos. This year's Jersey Shore edition heralds its return stateside. Organized as a charity event, Ascension donates 100% of its net proceeds to LGBT causes, with over $1 million given to more than 40 different organizations to date.​
