Food Network has released new details and a premiere date for out YouTube sensation Hannah Hart’s upcoming six-episode summer series, I Hart Food.
As we first reported last summer, the show will follow Hart, who stars in the web series My Drunk Kitchen, as she travels the country on a fixed budget to discover local dishes and chat up local cooks.
“Food Network has been an incredible partner and I’m really proud of the show we made together,” says Hart, who is also an executive producer. “I am so excited to share the experiences of extraordinary meals and the chefs who shared their passions and expertise with me on I Hart Food. I’m a major food enthusiast, and this show is perfect for those who have an insatiable appetite for all things food!”
Hart has more than 2.5 million YouTube subscribers and more than 5 million followers on social media. Her “Coming Out” video series offered candid personal conversations about LGBT identity and issues.
Hart, who has been included on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, was honored last year with GLAAD’s Davidson/Valentini Award, presented to an LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance for the LGBT community.
