Corey Haim, Corey Feldman Endure Sexual Abuse In Lifetime's "A Tale Of Two Coreys" Trailer

Feldman acts as an executive producer on the original biopic.

Lifetime has announced the premiere date and released the first trailer for its latest original biopic, A Tale of Two Coreys.

The movie is based on the true story of the rise and fall of iconic ’80s actors Corey Feldman (portrayed by Elijah Marcano and Scott Bosely) and Corey Haim (Justin Ellings and Casey Leach), People reports. Feldman is an executive producer on the film.

Feldman and Haim first worked together on The Lost Boys in 1987 and became teen heartthrobs, collaborating on a handful of popular comedies. "But as their stars rose, their lives began to quickly spin out of control with endless partying and drugs," reads a film synopsis. "As their fame and fortune increased, dark secrets haunted them."

In his 2013 memoir, Coreyography, Feldman, 46, claimed that he and Haim, who died in 2010, had been sexually abused by people in Hollywood. (Feldman’s allegations are being investigated by the LAPD.) The new A Tale of Two Coreys trailer focuses on that abuse.

"Did you tell anyone?" a young Feldman asks Haim, who is seen fawned over by various male executives. "He said if I did, my career would be over," Haim replies. "It’s just what you do, you know?"

Last month former actor Dominick Brascia (Friday the 13th: A New Beginning) accused Charlie Sheen of raping Haim when the two were filming the 1986 movie Lucas. Haim was 13 at the time and Sheen would have been 19.

Sheen, who disclosed in 2015 that he is HIV-positive, denies the allegations and is now suing his accusers and the National Enquirer for defamation.

Feldman has been back in the news lately due to the media's renewed focus on sexual harassment and assault allegations in Hollywood. He recently launched a campaign to finance a documentary that would expose alleged pedophiles in the industry.

“There are people that did this to me and Corey that are still working, they’re still out there, and they’re some of the most rich and powerful people in this business," Feldman told The View while promoting his book. "And they do not want what I’m saying right now. They want me dead."

A Tale of Two Coreys premieres January 6, 2018, on Lifetime.
