Danny DeVito And David Margulies Are Gay Grumpy Old Men In "Curmudgeons"

And their romance is definitely going to make you laugh and cry.

Danny DeVito won the hearts of audiences at the Tribeca Film Festival this year with his short film Curmudgeons — the story of two cranky male senior citizens who find themselves unexpectedly in love with each other.

DeVito directed the short, which was adapted from a play of the same name, and stars in it opposite David Marguilies in his final performance, as he passed away shortly after filming.

The movie is a family affair for DeVito, as it also stars his daughter Lucy and is co-produced by his son Jake.

DeVito and Margulies had been friends since 1968, back when they would perform in off-Broadway plays together, and the film serves as a sentimental swan song for their relationship.

Curmudgeons was recently selected to be Vimeo’s first official Staff Pick Premiere, and you can watch the film below.
