Though 2017 has gotten off to a rocky start, there's at least one glimmer of hope on the horizon—a remake of the classic TV program The Magic School Bus starring Kate McKinnon is coming to Netflix!

The Magic School Bus Rides Again is set to premiere sometime this year and will be less of a reboot and more of a reimagining of the beloved show.

For instance, instead of chronicling the antics of the effortlessly charming and all-knowing Valerie Frizzle (originally voiced by living icon Lily Tomlin), the show will follow the educational exploits of her sister, Fiona (voiced by Saturday Night Live phenom Kate McKinnon.)

Another big difference? The revamp will ditch the nostalgic, hand-drawn animation for CG, a move that will certainly lend the show a more modern look.

So everyone put on their seatbelts and get ready for the next school bus adventure!
