Sahara Davenport, Star of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 2, Dead at Age 27

We are shocked and saddened to hear the news of the passing of Sahara Davenport. Sahara, also known as Antoine Ashley, was a contestant on season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race and the significant other of RuPaul's All Star Drag Race, Manila Luzon.
Sahara's talents reached beyond RuPaul's Drag Race, and onto the Billboard charts when she released her single, "Go Off" earlier this year, which reached number 50 on the dance charts. She also recently appeared in Manila's video "Bext XXXcessory" and the two released a version of "Baby It's Cold" during the holiday season.
Logo released a statement this morning about his passing: "Logo is profoundly saddened by the passing of Antoine Ashley who fans around the world knew and loved as Sahara Davenport. He was an amazing artist and entertainer who'll be deeply missed by his Logo family. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, especially his boyfriend Karl, in their time of need."
