"Sex And The City 3" Confirmed With All Four Stars Returning

Is it a Christmas miracle?

If you're grasping for a glimmer of hope to end 2016 on, we may have your answer: All signs are pointing toward another Sex and the City movie.

Speculation has circulated since Sex and the City 2 left theaters in 2010, but heated up in 2014, when Sarah Jessica Parker and SATC creator Michael Patrick King both hinted at Sex and the City 3 becoming an actual thing.

SJP has shared concerns about how Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte would be presented now that they're well into middle age. Cynthia Nixon, the quartet's youngest member is 50. Kim Catrall, the eldest, is 60.

"There was a lot of back and forth," reports Radar. "Sarah Jessica Parker was not originally on board because she didn’t like the idea of the characters being portrayed in a more mature light."

But the site claims Parker, Nixon, Catrall and Kristin Davis are now all on board for another movie. "All the women are officially signed up for SATC movie 3. The deal is done and the script has been approved by all the women."

Filming will allegedly begin in summer 2017.

While the original series, which ran from 1998 and 2004 on HBO, had a devoted fan following and critical praise, the feature films were less beloved. But a well-crafted tale addressing the reality of being a 50-something woman in New York could be a real treat.

And Parker is still obviously on good terms with HBO—she's currently starring on the network's new relationship drama, Divorce.
