Will Ferrell And Kristen Wiig's Campy Lifetime Movie, "A Deadly Adoption," Is Definitely Happening

Glory be to the gay heavens above! Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig's top secret Lifetime TV movie A Deadly Adoption wasn't scrapped (as previously reported), and will see the light of day on the network later this month.

The movie was confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter after a billboard for the film mysteriously popped up in Los Angeles.

The movie is described as a "campy, fun, contemporary wink at the genre" of awesomely bad Lifetime movies, whose legendary roster includes The Pregnancy Pact, To Be Fat Like Me and She's Too Young.

The plot for A Deadly Adoption center around a married couple (Ferrell and Wiig) who house and care for a surrogate (90210's Jessica Lowndes) whose baby they plan to adopt. Unfortunately–and not surprisingly–for the couple...things quickly take a turn for the worse.

Ferrell has stated that he is a huge fan of the network's mostly ridiculous TV movies, and it was he and his creative partner Adam McKay's production company Gary Sanchez Productions that brought the film to life.

Andrew Steele, who wrote the script for last year's IFC soap opera-parody The Spoils of Babylon (which also starred Ferrell and Wiig) penned Adoption's screenplay.

We expect Nomi Malone-levels of lunacy.

A Deadly Adoption will air Saturday, June 20, at 8:30pm on Lifetime.
