Batman And Superman Fall In Love In New Coheed And Cambria Video For "Island"

"I wanted to bring the Dark and the Light together," says lead singer Claudio Sanchez.

There's been plenty of attention given to the homoerotic tension between the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. But prog-rockers Coheed and Cambria take it one step further with the new video for their song "Island," off The Color Before The Sun.

In the clip, a Times Square Batman strikes up a working relationship with an amateur Superman, but when rival costumed characters start a beef, the two heroes realize their bond is stronger than friendship.

"When I think of these two iconic characters, I think of opposite attraction. I think of myself and my wife. How two opposite ends of a spectrum can create harmony and balance," said C&C lead singer Claudio Sanchez.

"In one way or another, these characters have been paired up with like-minded love interests, the Bat and the Cat... The Alien and the Amazonian... I wanted to bring the Dark and the Light together."

The song also addresses Claudio's move from the country to living in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and the adjusment to living in the city.
