Boston Frat Raises Money For Transgender Brother's Surgery

Frats get a bad rap, but they're also capable of doing some pretty awesome stuff when they put down the Bacardi and put their minds to it. Frats can be a loving, supportive community -- like Emerson College's Phi Alpha Tau brothers. When they learned that their transgendered brother's top surgery wouldn't be covered by insurance, they banded together to help raise funds.

The brothers have started an IndieGoGo page and the funds have been pouring in ... pouring in like beer from a tapped keg. Eh, we don't even have the energy to make frat jokes, we're so impressed with what these guys did.

Three cheers for Phi Alpha Tau!

No go and donate to the cause if you can.
